Conference scope

Since its foundation in 1988, IREP has been held every three years and established a reputation for technical excellence. Placing greater emphasis on in-depth discussion than typical conferences, IREP is a great opportunity to share your work with an active audience comprised of leaders in the field.

The theme of this edition is “Grid control, operation and markets to enable a Net-Zero future”, and the topics of interest are listed below.

Renewable Energy Sources (RES) integration and impact on bulk power systems

Distributed Energy Resources (DER) integration and impact on bulk power systems

Energy Storage Systems (ESS) integration and impact on bulk power systems

Demand Response (DR) integration and impact on bulk power systems

Prosumers roles in RES and DER integration

Communications, cybersecurity, and data analytics applied to RES and DER integration

Grids of microgrids

Submission procedure

Please upload your full paper by using the submission system of the Journal Sustainable Energy, Grids and Networks (SEGAN) selecting the Special Issue VSI: IREP 2025. For more information please check the instructions provided in the PDF file (donwload here).

According to the SEGAN submission procedure, there are no strict formatting requirements, but all submitted manuscripts must include the following essential elements: Abstract, Keywords, Introduction, Materials and Methods, Results, Conclusions, Figures and Tables.

The language to be used for articles, technical presentations and discussions is English. All authors must agree to the Elsevier copyright policies available by clicking here.

All accepted papers must be presented in person at the IREP 2025 Symposium by one of the authors. The Special Issue will be published after the Symposium. In case of no-show, the corresponding article will be removed from the Special Issue before publication.

The revised versions of the papers preliminary accepted for IREP have to be prepared on the IREP 2025 template and submitted two times:

Upload the clean version by filling this FORM, which will be used for preparing the Conference proceedings.
Upload the clean and marked copies, along with the responses to the Reviewers, onto the SEGAN web site, as SEGAN allows sending the contributions in the "your paper your way" mode, in this case, with the IREP template. The final papers will be accepted in SEGAN after having been presented to the conference
